Cineplayer update

My version of DMX is 3. However the Sonic website only has support articles for the Deluxe version, which I have not upgraded to. I did not register my version of DMX, as the Privacy Statement seemed to be saying that my email address might be passed on to other companies. I get enough junk email as it is, so did not like this idea!

I do not have Zone Alarm Firewall as I have a wireless router, which contains its own firewall but usually Norton warns me if any suspect. I'm really not sure just how useful DMX will be.

It seems to work through Windows Media Player for organising audio files, playlists, etc. Ex nihil 2 Bronze.

I have the same problem but you can't ignore it. My machine has downloaded that 10MB update at least twelve times! I don't know how to turn it off. Also, it may not matter now but there may come a time soon that CinePlayer will cease to function without an update maybe after the Windows security update. I thought perhaps they were linked because they may both relate to licencing problems, anyone else with both these problems?

I haven't had any problems so far since setting this update to Ignore within the Update Manager. Before doing this I discovered the update had been downloaded to my Temp directory. I tried installing it from there but received exactly the same message that the update was not comatible with my computer or version of the program.

I have the same problem, 10MB update downloads continually and won't install. Here is a Dell response that might explain something:. In order to actually upgrade the version of Cineplayer, you will need to contact Roxio for more information.

Once you have subscribed and paid for a newer version of Cineplayer, you can then uninstall the basic version of the software from your Dell computer and install the updated one. This will allow you to run updates on the Cineplayer software once the upgraded version is installed on your computer. I am going to try uninstalling Cineplayer again after which the DVD won't play.

I have now had to buy software to run my Audigy soundcard and now the DVD. Not good. Uninstalling Dell Media Experience also solved some issues with Windows operations such as no 'show all contents when dragging' problem. Browse Community. Turn on suggestions. The player app developers must then pay for a license to the new DRM and incorporate it as an update to their player. Roxio may not be updating the OEM version of their player, so they can sell you the full-featured 'update' to recover some of their cost. This is pure speculation on my part, but have you contacted Roxio about the issue? Have you tried using AnyDVD to work around your problem? Last edited by dstrakele; at PM. I use the software Cineplayer BD for the Bluray first of all!

The problem appear only with last bluray films! Ah, I confirmed they are ridiculous! DLL file update for CinePlayer versions 1.
